This brand brings to the Romanian viewers, the latest innovations of the international home entertainment industry. Once with the BOOM’s launching, we launch the latest digital technology of TV multi-channel satellite broadcasted nationaly, directly to the subscribers’ homes.
BOOM offers a new and unconventional perspective over television through a large variety of programs and an original structure of packages. In the initial offer, the consumer can choose out of 10 packages: EASY (general Romanian channels), NEWS (Romanian and international news channels), LIFE (general interest documentary movies), ADVENTURE (documentary movies about science, civilizations, history and travels), MUSIC, two MOVIE packages (movie and serial channels), KIDZONE (for children), SPORT and, soon, HUNGARIAN (for Hungarian speakers). Within the packages, in addition to the existing programs in Romania, BOOM offer includes a series of exclusive channels: Boom Action, Boom Comedy, Boom Romance, Boom Karaoke, Boom Classic, Boom Hop!, Nickelodeon, Nick Junior, Boom Indian, Boom Secrets, with the best international productions in each category and the self-promotion channel Boom Public.
The exclusive channel offer includes famous movies such as: Alexander, 21 grams, Hero, The Pianist, What women want or Vanity Fair. An absolute novelty on the Romanian market is the “karaoke” program, where the consumers can practice their artistic skills on their favorite songs.
Another feature of Boom exclusive channels is that they do not include any commercials. BOOM also brings a series of technological innovations: interactive TV channels, Pay -Per-View, Electronic Program Guide. The interactive channels enclose all types of entertainment, while through the exclusive service Pay-Per-View, the consumer can watch the latest cinema productions. EPG (Electronic Program Guide) provides the interface with the user, by offering him all the necessary information on the TV broadcasting schedule, both of the re-transmitted channels and of the Boom channels. Through its functions, EPG allows for the selection of favorite channels, system configuration, restriction of up to 5 channels, movie reservations, image and sound settings and many more.

The subscription prices range between 0.4 euros/month for News package and 7 euros/month for Movie 1 package. For the purchase of several packages, there are discount offers providing discounts and/or bonus packages.
The service distribution is provided by HAT Romania, in a partnership network including over 1,300 shops, both GSM dealers (Germanos, Vegastel, Avenir, etc) and appliance retailers (Altex, Flanco, Rombiz, etc) or IT retailers (K-TECH, etc) , with a national-wide coverage.
At the time of the commercial launch, Boom's distribution covers 195 POS located in 40 counties, following to expand gradually in the entire national network.
