The reception system needed for the Boom Service consists in:


Reception equipment

Reception equipment, comprising:
  • receptor (Set Top Box)
  • conditional access card (SMART CARD)
  • remote control

For the moment, Boom offers you more options for choosing the appropriate reception equipment:
Multi-View, if you have 2 or 3 television sets.
Custody, if you want to use the receptor for free.
Multi-View and Custody if you want to use more receptors for free.
Buy-Back, if you want to redeem the receptor after contract expiration. 		 


Installation equipment

You may choose the standard Boom installation, which guarantees best conditions in services reception. Or if you have an installation kit, you may install you own reception equipment (PDF, 1.55 Mb).
The equipment comprises The Installation Kit and The Installation Accessories.


The Installation kit is made up of:
  • Parabolic Antenna (OP 80): 39.7 dB min gain, 0.8 mm zinc steel electrostatically powder coated
  • Antenna installation kit: 1.2 mm zinc steel bracket, stainless steel bolts. It was selected to resist wind of 170 km/h without any components breaking off.
  • Wall mount: Made of thermal zinc steel, it has four-point mounting and may be anchored in three more directions, with anchor supplied as supplementary material.
  • LNB GT-SAT SX1019, "UNIVERSAL" type, made by the ANDREW corporation of Germany, 0.6 dB noise factor, 60 dB Max gain, moisture protected according to IP80

Installation, activation and transport of the receivers` equipment is free.

By choosing Boom standard installation, you receive the services of a professional team, with the latest generation specialized equipment (spectrum analyzers), and a one year guarantee for the entire reception system. Any intervention in this period is free*.

Installation Accessories represent all supplementary materials and accessories for a standard installation, and can be bought:
  • Angle brackets (reinforcing the wall mount where needed): 7.5 RON each.
    Mounted additionally upon customer request, or at the installer's recommendation, in the case of mounting on weak walls or very windy areas.
  • RG6 Cable (Andrew A677TS-BBB-Wseries 6 UL) protected from interference with 3 layers of shielding; working temperature range: -30º to +60º, moisture protected, marked every meter: 0.95 RON/meter
  • F connectors set by compression (Andrew). The unique setting technology confers 2 insulation levels against moisture, makes installation simple, reliable and long-lasting. Moreover, the connector will be insulated with mastic and insulation tape: 0.83 RON/piece
  • Telephone cable: 0.42 RON/meter **
  • Telephone sound-boxes: 1.67 RON/piece **
  • Telephone splitter: 1.31 RON/piece **
  • Telephone couplings: 0.71 RON/piece **
  • Dowel set φ 6 with wood-screws for attaching cables outside buildings: 0.09 RON/piece
